Study Abroad in the United Kingdom (UK)

Visa Type: Student Visa (Tier 4)

Eligibility: Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from a licensed sponsor, proof of financial capacity, and English proficiency (IELTS/ELT).

Key Documents: CAS letter, TB test (if applicable), bank statements, passport, visa application form, and academic transcripts.

Visa Fees: £490 (approx). IHS surcharge: £776 per year (for healthcare access).

University Admission Process

Choose a course → Apply via UCAS or directly to the university → Receive offer letter → Get CAS → Apply for visa.

English Requirements

Minimum IELTS score: 6.0–6.5 overall (varies by course). ELT or other approved English tests also accepted.

Work While Studying

Up to 20 hours per week during term time. Full-time during holidays.

Post-Study Work Visa

Graduate Route allows 2 years (or 3 years for PhD) to work in the UK after graduation without sponsorship.
